Kate
Green,
Producer
IMDB
Kate brings over 15 years of experience
working in the theatre, film and television industry
as a producer, director, writer, and actor. While having
worked in both fiction and non-fiction genres, Kate
has been able to focus her talents and experience to
help create over 95 hours of well rounded, intriguing,
quality broadcast programming. |
Most
recently Kate has produced three short films, Joanna
Makes a Friend - the 2010 MPPIA short film winner,
Funny Business - one of the 2011 Crazy 8s
winners and the corporate drama Shadowplay set
to be released in the Fall of 2012. While showing a
passion for scripted work, Kate has also a proven love
for reality and lifestyle television. This was put into
practice when she acted as the Line Producer on HGTVs
hit series Urban Suburban season one and directed
the travel series Discovering Great Towns Season
2. Kate has now returned for season two of Urban
Suburban as the Senior Story Producer.
As a Producer/Director on Season 13 & 14 of The
New Drivers Seat, an automotive review show,
and the high action Canadian Rally Championships
and the adventure racing documentary Raid the North
Extreme, Kate also brings a unique understanding
to the production and creation of live action reality
and automotive television. Due to this experience and
passion for high action reality, Kate is very excited
to have produced the Vancouver episode of Strangers
in Danger for Fuel TV a subsidiary of FOX TV in
the US.
Kate has recently been accepted to the Totally Television
Program through the National Screen Institute of Canada
and is a proud graduate of Malaspina Universitys
Technical Theatre Program, Gastown Actors Studio
and the UBC Entertainment Administration Program. In
2008 Kate was elected to the Board of Directors for
Women in Film & Television Vancouver and in 2009
elected as Vice President and Chair of the Awards and
Mentorship committee.
With all of her work, Kate shows an ability to produce
quality entertainment, on time, and on budget regardless
of the genre, due to her passion and enthusiasm for
each project and the story that it tells.
